NiMH AA batteries may be charged from a USB power source (such as a PC) or the optional #6707/6706 AC adapter via the included USB cable. NiMH type batteries can charge while in the scanner. It is important that you select the correct battery type via the slide switch in the battery compartment. Operation is from two AA cells providing flexibility in choice of batteries: Alkaline for long life or rechargeable NiMH batteries for economy.
